If that visitor reads the article and perhaps another I have potentially gained a follower. If the reader sticks around long enough they may also generate some income from my blog by clicking on an Adsense advertisement or following an affiliate link.

Creating Backlinks at Propeller.com
I have found Propeller.com a good place to create "do follow" backlinks to my blog. "Do follow" backlinks are important to create for blog pages because they add weight to a blog's credibility and its Google PageRank.

As I am busy establishing this blog I have identified that taking the time to add a link to each of my blog posts on Propeller.com is a useful way to build backlinks to my blog and gain additional traffic.

Building backlinks is time consuming and labor intensive anywhere on the web and the same is true at Propeller.com. However the benefits gained make the effort worthwhile. The chance to earn additional Adsense earnings through the increased traffic levels is the reason I persevere with manually building links.

Propeller's High Page Rank Creates Quality Backlinks
PageRank is the measure that Google places on a blog, website or article. The PageRank of a page reflects its importance on the web.

PageRank is largely determined by the quality and quantity of your blog's incoming links. Thus a blog page that is linked to by many sources on the web will have a higher PageRank than some web content that has none or very few links. And when those links are not just from anywhere but from sites with a high PageRank like Propeller.com then it is likely that the linked to blog will also receive a higher PageRank.

Propeller.com currently has a Google PageRank of 8 out of a possible 10. Any inbound links to my blog from Propeller.com therefore are going to raise the standing of my blog.

Keep in mind that the higher the PageRank of a site the better it is placed in Google search results too. By creating backlinks to Propeller.com I am therefore creating potential for my blog posts to appear on the first page of Google Search Engine Results (SERPs)
